Mar 30, 2012: Lima Depart from the USA. Arrive in Lima, Peru's capital city. Meet your ACIS Tour
Manager and transfer to your hotel for an arrival briefing.
Mar 31, 2012:
Lima Today is a full day of guided sightseeing, including the Plaza de Armas, Plaza San Martín, Gold Museum and Archaeological
Museum. Visit both the San Francisco church and Santo Domingo convent, exploring their catacombs, tombs
and colonial architecture. (B,D)
Apr 1, 2012: Cuzco Depart for an
early morning flight to Cuzco, the historic capital of the Inca empire. An afternoon guided tour shows you the ancient fortress
of Sacsayhuamán, the Inca bath of Tambo Machay, the sacred spot of Kenko and the small fort of Puca Pucara. Return
to Cuzco for dinner and a show. (B,D)
Apr 2, 2012: Aguas Calientes
Board the train this morning for the magnificent temple ruins of Machu Picchu. Learn about the Inca citadel on a guided sightseeing
tour then enjoy free time to discover more on your own. Spend the night in close by Aguas Calientes, named for its naturally
occurring hot baths. (B,L,D)
Apr 3, 2012: Cuzco This morning transfer
from Aguas Calientes to further explore Machu Picchu, hike Huayna Picchu, walk to the Sun Gate or imagine living during Incan
times at the Inca Bridge. In the afternoon take the train back to Cuzco. (B,D)
Apr 4, 2012: Cuzco Today enjoy a full day of exploration to the resplendent valley believed to be the
birthplace of the Inca Empire. Begin with a trip into this Sacred Valley to see the salt mines of Maras and the nearby Incan
circular terracing of Moray. Continue to the village of Pisac and its famous Indian Market after which you will visit the
ruins of Ollantaytambo. (B,D)
Apr 5, 2012: Puno Today, travel by
private coach to Juliaca, stopping en route in Racchi and the Spanish colonial town of Andahuaylillas. Continue on to Puno,
the famed folklore capital of Peru. (B,L,D)
Apr 6, 2012: Puno Set
off across Lake Titicaca by boat this morning, making stops at Taquile Island and the Uros Islands, small floating islands
made of packed totora reeds. Return to Puno in time for dinner and a night's rest. (B,D)
Apr 7, 2012: Overnight Flight Rise early for a visit to the ancient Chullpa Tombs of Sillustani. Continue
to Juliaca to board your flight to Lima. After dinner, depart for the USA. (B,D)

8, 2012: United States Arrive in the USA. Optional Extensions and Extra Nights: Further immerse yourself in the history
